What is "microblading" and is it offered?

In the permanent makeup industry, "microblading" is a term that is used interchangeably and as a general term. However, the original context is that of using a blade to implant pigment into the skin. This is why the term 'micro shading' is used when referring to the Ombre Powder Brow service. The art of micro shading is a semi- permanent cosmetic tattoo created with a tattoo machine and a single needle. This method is used for eyebrow and lip services!

Is it like a regular tattoo?

While the method is similar, the dermal layer of the skin is not penetrated as deep. Therefore, NO, it is not the same as a regular tattoo in terms of the ink used or longevity.

What is the pain level?

The "pain" varies per person. The average response is that the highest level of pain felt is a 3 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the worst. However, some clients have expressed that there is no pain felt as well. Numbing creams are used throughout the service for more comfort.

How long will it last?

Results vary by individual. On average, 1-5 years. The longevity of your results will depend on many factors, including, but not limited to, lifestyle, skin type, after-care, and touch ups.

Is a touch-up or color boost required?

For the best results,  it is recommended that you attend your touch up appointment. The annual color boost will help with the longevity of your results.

Can I wear lipstick after?

Once your lips have healed, yes you can wear lipstick, lip gloss, tinted color, etc. There may be some events in which you want a different lip color, apply anything on top of your lip blushing will not affect the results so long as you are healed.
